April 28th,  2008, Giant Interactive Group, Chinese leading online game developer and operator announced that the PCU (peak cocurrent user) of Zhengtu Online has made a new historical record. At 8:42 PM of the day, the PCU of Zhengtu Online broke 2.1 million milestone to reach 2,102,118, which made it the No.1 online games in China.

Before that, the online game with the most PCU was Fantasy West Journey (1.66 million). And Zhengtu has made it to 2.1 million, which is also the best record of PCU.

What's more, the PCU of server in Szechwan reached 43,297 at the day, which was the major breakthrough in Giant Interactve server technology. Before that, the PCU of a single server in the industry never broke 40,000.
Ji Xufeng, director of Zhengtu Online, said that the new feature of Zhengtu has brought quality improvement in the game. Due to the propagandizing of players, many new players and old players join the games, which is the fundamental of the good performance of Zhengtu Online.

According to Liu Wei, president of the company, said that as a listing company, Giant Interactive will comply to the SEC's regulation on the publication of company profiles.

Zhengtu Online entered open beta on April 21st, 2006. On March 1st, the PCU of Zhengtu Online reached 1.53 million. The increase number of Zhengtu Online reflects the success of its five year constant developing plan.
