Kingsoft announced on May 5th, saying that Kingsoft will establish a joint venture with Alchemy Studio to develop online games. It's said that Kingsoft invested RMB 10 million in this cooperation, which will grant it 40% of company share. Alchemy Studio is now working on a 3D MMO game based on Roman culture.

Alchemy Studio has a self-developed full 3D engine-Alchemy Engine, and multiple well-reveived online games. Now Alchemy Studio has a team of 27 developers, who specialize in programming, design, planning and products separately.

Qiu Bojun, chairman and deputy CEO of Kingsoft, said:' We are very happy to reach the agreement with Alchemy. Our first employees were from many top game developers, and successfully developed a full 3D engine--Alchemy Engine all by ourselves. Alchemy Studio is now working on a 3D online game based on Roman culture. We believe the joint venture will help Kingsoft to expand to other game genres, and further strengthen our leading status in the industry.'
